To complete part B of their Arts Award Explore, the children have explored the work of an artist and an arts organisation.
During our Arts Award Explore, a designer from Aston Martin came to our school to teach us about her job and what she does for a living. She is a colour and materials designer. She has been doing this for approximately 5 years. She does this for the interior and exterior! She attended Chelsea College and studied woven textiles, leading her to her current job and she is now very successful. Her latest project she’s been working in has been the new Aston Martin DBS. When she was younger, she wanted to be a fashion designer as she liked drawing people as a child. She works closely with the leather and paint supplier. She gets ideas from trade fairs. She has also worked in the airline industry, also as a colour and material designer.
