I couldn’t be prouder of this little dream team (missing our very valuable player Ellen – thank you Jack for stepping in at the last minute). They played 3 matches in the cup final which was held on a very hot day during the last week of a very busy term.
They won their first match comfortably showing off their skills and enjoyment of a fast paced game. Their second match, which they played straight after, proved a little harder. By half time they were losing 4-1. A quick team talk seemed to lift their spirits and they showed high levels of determination and team work throughout the second half. The final score was 5-6 to EGPS. This team have been absolutely amazing: they have listened to advice, supported each other and brought high levels of energy and enthusiasm to each match. Thank you for making me one very proud coach.
Throughout the past two years our netball team has grown from strength to strength. There are many children who attend who aren’t photographed here but deserve a mention for showing a dedication to training each week. As a bit of a netball enthusiast myself, I am thrilled to see so many young people loving this sport. Who knows, we could have a future England Roses player amongst them! (Miss Appleton)
