This week, as part of a Science Week based on ‘Journeys’, Year 5 enjoyed making paper aeroplanes and helicopters. Some were more successful than others, but as we designed and improved our aeroplanes, we learned more about air resistance, other forces and how an aircraft stays up in the air.
We also enjoyed a special inter-active assembly delivered by ‘Fizzpop Science’. They came to our school to demonstrate various forces, including air resistance. We were also shown what air actually looks like! It was a lot of fun!
