Why do we cook our food?

In Design and Technology, we have been exploring why we cook our food. We discovered that cooking our food makes it taste better, safer to eat, easier to digest, last longer and softer and more edible. Here are some photos of us feeling some uncooked pasta and risotto rice and discussing why we can’t eat these foods uncooked. We also got to enjoy some freshly steamed vegetables and discuss why we sometimes cook vegetables too!
