Year 3 have been busy this week designing and making tacos to eat. The children had a choice of recipes either a roasted vegetable or chicken. In groups ,with the help of Miss Storey, the children chopped and prepared the ingredients including peppers, onions, courgettes and chicken. Today we said ‘Goodbye’ to Mrs Gould! We wish you a very ‘Happy Retirement!’ Thank you for all you have done in Reception. We will miss you!
We had stand up comedians, a magician, actors, dancers and a piano player. Many giggles were had by all!
It’s been hot!! To keep ourselves cool we had fun with the water learning about capacity, and even got our feet wet afterwards. We all dreamt of rainy days and did some lovely water colours of a wet day with a rainbow.
We are very lucky at our school to have some amazing sports stars but these children have been chosen as the stand out sports stars in their year group. They have won a free tickets to The Wave as part of The Commonwealth Games celebrations. We hope they all have lots of fun.
Year 3 had fun in forest school doing some ‘cave painting’. They talked about the sort of things people would have painted on walls in caves during the stone age. We did get mess but it was great!
Year 1S has been learning about seasons. We went into the school ‘orchard’ and picked up some fresh apples off the ground, and plums off the tree. Children talked about summer and we even tried some of the fruit! They were delicious!
