This week in phonics we learnt the sounds ur, ow, oi and ear, we also learnt some new tricky words my, by and all. In maths we have been learning about more and fewer and comparing sets of objects using new terminology we have learnt. This week we have read the book ‘Peepo!’ by Alan and Janet Ahlberg we enjoyed listening to the story and discussing the pictures about the past. The focus this week was about the children’s past and they really enjoyed looking at pictures from when they were babies and guessing who they thought they were, we talked about what the children can do now which they couldn’t when they were babies. We also had the chance to see a real baby and ask her mummy questions.
