In reception this week we have continued learning new sounds in phonics, we have learnt the sounds i, n, m and d, we have played oral blending games and formed some letters. In maths we have been practising careful counting to know how many objects we have. As a part of our topic ‘Let’s Explore’ we read the book Pete the Cat Rocking in my School Shoes then we went on an adventure around the school, we saw the office, learning hub and met some teachers along the way. Later on in the week we drew a map of our journey, learnt about the jobs of adults in school and Mr Taylor came to read us a story which we really enjoyed listening to. During busy time we have enjoyed making counting wands to help us with our careful counting, practising our number formation and being creative in the creative area.
