This week we covered new sounds -h -b -f and -l and tricky words is, I and the. In Maths we worked on comparing quantities with language such as ‘more than’ and ‘fewer than’ being a main focus. Our mini project this week was Build it Up and we read The Three Little Pigs and experimented with materials for building. We also read The Three Billy Goats Gruff and tested out materials for building bridges. The children also reading What We’ll Build by Oliver Jeffers. We have explored different kinds of building jobs and worked together to build dens outside and learnt about National Pumpkin Day. The children have been writing daily in Phonics and are beginning to write words in our writing books!
