This week we started learning the new sounds -ai, -ee, -igh and -oa and tricky words I, the, pull, put and full from phase 3. In maths we worked on the purpose of counting and ordering quantities using representations of quantity along side numbers. As a part of our topic ‘Long Ago’ we have been learning about the children’s past this week. We had a visitor this week where we were able to ask questions to about how she looks after her baby. We read the book Peepo and compared similarities and differences with their own lives and we enjoyed playing guess the baby with our own baby photos. In other areas of learning we delved into the past and thought about what we were like as babies and guessed who is who! We also looked after babies, washed babies, made medicine in messy play for babies, worked on our gymnast stances in PE and played various instruments to imitate transport sounds.
