This week we continued to learn phase 3 sounds -ur, -ow, -oi and -ear and tricky words my, by and all. In maths we have been exploring ways to represent numbers using the die pattern. We also secured our knowledge of numbers that make 5 and used double dice frames to begin to explore 6 and 7. We enjoyed celebrating all things Chinese new Year with Chinese food tasting, listening to the Animal Race story, acting out the animal race outside to develop coordination and balance and we explored similarities and differences life now and life in the past by looking at schools, school uniforms and by reading Adoette. In PE we have continued to work on our gymnastic skills and different landing positions and in music we are beginning to use instruments with the correct timings.
