This week we have focussed on recapping lots of phase 3 sounds and tricky words that the children needed to practise. In maths we were comparing quantities and using the language ‘more than’, ‘less than’ and ‘equal to’ to compare and describe the relationship between numbers up to 8. We read Farmer Duck as part of our new topic as well as other farm related books and wrote what we thought the duck would like to say to the famer. We made our own bread dough, washed muddy animals in the messy tray and used farm animals in small world and outdoor team building play. We also looked at which animals live on a farm, matched the parent to baby animals and looked at farm vehicles.
