This week we moved onto phase 4 in Phonics which included phase 4 tricky words so, like, have and said. In maths we focussed on the purpose of counting and revisited the last number telling us how many altogether. The children have also been given the opportunity to practise the key differences in number names -teen and -ty numbers. In other areas we continues to water our growing plants, solved problems on the interactive white board and in the water tray together and went on an animal safari for our new topic ‘Animal Safari’. We also thought about which animals were carnivores and herbivores and sorted them into groups and looked after our new pet in the home corner.
