Week Beginning 10/11/25

This week in Phonics we covered the sounds -ff, -ll, -ss and -j. In maths we were thinking about comparing groups of objects by counting them 1:1 and reinforcing language such as more than, fewer than and equal number of. In other areas of learning we wrote a wanted poster about the book No-Bot, The Robot with no Bottom. The children are currently working very hard to share and create collaboratively when making their own robots using different resources in the junk modelling area with tools such as cardboard, foil, poms poms and toilet role tubes. We have also had fun getting messy in our messy tray whilst practising our letter formation. Later in the week we explored materials with different properties and sorted them into magnetic and non-magnetic and we enjoyed learning about Children in Need.
