This week in Phonics we have reviewed Phase 3 sounds as needed and looked at longer words and tricky words they, all, by, my, are, sure and pure. In Maths we focussed on subitising skills in increasingly complex arrangements. We used our understanding of doubles and the children’s visualising skills using spatial language and hand gestures sub-groups. In other areas we have matched animals to their young, read the story Farmer Duck and made maps of the journey in the story. We also looked at aerial views of farmlands and thought about what two colours make a new colour. In RE we expanded on our knowledge of Muslims and mosques and we took part in the Easter assembly. We looked at farms in the past and compared to today and input simple instructions into our BeeBots to get to destinations! To0 round the week off we enjoyed an Easter egg hunt!
