This week in Phonics we focussed on recapping some phase 2 sounds and tricky words. In maths we were thinking about comparing groups of objects by counting them 1:1 and reinforcing language such as more than, fewer than and equal number of. In other areas of learning we read the book No Bot, the Robot with no Bottom! We discussed what we noticed in the book and wrote a wanted poster! The children are currently working very hard to share and create collaboratively when making their own robots using different resources in the creative and fine motor area with tools such as cardboard, foil, pom poms, nuts and bolts and playdough. We also had fun building robots outdoors and getting messy in our messy tray whilst also practising our letter formation. Later in the week we explored materials with different properties and sorted them into magnetic and non magnetic and we learnt a little bit about about children in need.
