We have continued to work on phase 3 sounds and tricky words this week. Maths has consisted of looking over increasingly complex arrangements from dots in a line to dots on a die frame and seeing the sub-groups within the larger groups and matching quantity to numeral. We read Jasper’s Beanstalk, planted sunflower seeds and carried out a bean growing experiment! We wrote Mother’s Day cards and a bean diary to log the changes we have observed. We also enjoyed sorting seeds, watching fruit and vegetables decay and practised our number bonds to 5.
