Have you ever watched people playing in the park or walking down the street? They move in all sorts of interesting ways—running, jumping, stretching, and sitting. Artists love to capture these movements in their drawings, often with some simple sketches.
When artists draw people, they don’t start with tiny details like fingers or faces. Instead, they use simple shapes and lines to show how a person is moving. This makes the drawing feel alive and full of energy! Year 3 enjoyed sketching each other in different poses today and we tried these techniques in our work.
