This week we have continued learning about Easter.
The children took part in an Easter assembly led by Reverend Jon Taylor from St. Bartholomew’s church. They learnt about how some people celebrate Easter.
The children had lots of fun going on an Easter Egg Hunt in our outdoor classroom. It was very egg-citing! We then counted the eggs! Look at how many we found!
We enjoyed listening to some Easter stories and created some Easter crafts too!
In Maths we played an Easter egg matching game on the whiteboard.
Using the Little Wandle phonics scheme the children learned the sound ‘j’ and played lots of games to develop their phonemic awareness and oral blending.
We sang lots of Easter songs! ‘Five Hot Cross Buns in a Baker’s Shop!’, ‘Hop Easter Bunnies, Hop, Hop, Hop!’ and ‘I’m a Spring Chicken!’
With the lovely weather, we enjoyed lots of outdoor time!
