Week Beginning 7/4/25

This week we moved onto words ending with -es sounding like -iz, -s sounding like -z, longer words, -s that sounds like -s and tricky words in Phonics. In maths we recapped on comparison with a focus on differences and similarities in the quantity without being diverted by colour shape or size. We read Jack and the beanstalk, we planted lettuce, courgette, potatoes and radish in our planters with the help of two lovely and experienced growers, Mr and Mrs Hancock-thank you! We explored with eggs, flour and sugar in our messy tray. The children also enjoyed seeing the amazing work at the STEM fair and surprised Miss Conniff with a wedding party-thank you Reception team and children!
