What a week! We continued with our phase 4 words and tricky words were, here, little and says. In maths we consolidated our understanding of 5 and practised recalling parts of 5 when 1 part is not visible. We also built of previous learning of the composition of 6 and 7. We grouped animals based on common features and into reptiles, mammals and birds, we use different tools to create chameleon prints in the creative area and reminded ourselves about what camouflage means! Books included Zoo Vet where we learnt about different jobs involving animal care, we also enjoyed reading Snug as Bug, Animal homes which inspired us to build animal dens and The Mixed up Chameleon. We even used our new knowledge and skills to write about our school dog, Chester this week but the best part of our week was our trip to All Things wild where are had real animal encounters, a ride on a dino train and lots of fun exploring!
