For our Science topic this term, we are looking at Light Theory. We had fun testing out how light travels (in straight lines!) using torches, card and mirrors.

We had an incredible turn out for our bake sale this week! The School and Eco Council have been busy raising money for CIN. Well done to everyone who enjoyed some yummy cakes!
Year 6 are looking very ‘odd’ for Anti-Bullying week!
Year 6 had a great first week back as they spent Friday afternoon on the assault course!
This topic shows us how Islamic Art is made from lots of different geometric patterns, namely stars! We had a go at making our own Islamic art through cutting stars of various designs and using gold and silver to decorate them. This will help us design our own motif and geometric tile later in the topic. Have a look at
In Year 4, we focused on ‘Vista’ for our Spring art topic. We set up an ‘art gallery’ where we anonymously commented on our classmate’s art work. We really enjoyed doing this because we had the opportunity to look at everyone’s art.
In science, Year 4 have been learning all about electrical conductivity. Today we ‘conducted’ an investigation of our own – we used a variety of objects around the Parker Building to see if they would allow electricity to pass through our circuits.
In Design and Technology, Year 4 have been using William Morris’ work as an inspiration for our very own prints! We sewed a hem, printed using printing inks and embroidered our material to create some amazing designs.
Year 4 had a super time in the sun at Conkers! We did a variety of activities, including a barefoot nature walk, orienteering and a water-assault course! We all had such a fun time, here are some photos:
