Our Science topic, Light, has been kicked off by some super experiments! We have looked at how shadows are formed and how they change. We then created our own experiments to investigate how shadows change length. Take a look at our wonderful learning!

So far our brand new ‘fashion design’ skills academy has been a hit with our designers! Over the last two weeks, we have used natural materials to create outfits, and completed some fun designs on our iPads. Catwalks here we come!

After a relaxing journey by coach, we are now ready to get some supper and find out where we’re staying! Year 6 are excited to begin their Dol y Moch trip… we’ve already discussed how amazingly different it is to Coventry! Tables cleared up, ready for pudding! What a wonderful first dinner. We made sure we dished our dinners out
Day three has kicked off with crate stacking, a muddy assault course and mountain biking!
Today, against the fluctuating weathers, we stayed resilient and did some incredible activities! Today – between all three groups – we conquered the zip line, the muddy assault course, mountain biking, archery and sea activities. What an absolutely amazing and resilient group of children we have! Well done to all for beating your fears and having a superb time.
After arriving successfully in Wales, Year 5 had an amazing first day! We settled in after lunch by doing zip line, high wires and crate stacking, before heading down to the beach to do some incredible sea activities! In the evening, we embarked upon a picturesque coastal walk to tire us out before hot chocolate and bed. Sorry to parents
This week in English, we are looking at playscripts. After dissecting the different features, we had a go at acting it out!
Year 6 took part in a science workshop this week all about light. We refreshed our memories and thought about lots of interesting scientific questions!
