Our last full day at Dol-y-Moch was started with the usual activities: morning jobs, breakfast, briefing and making our lunch for the day. In complete contrast to the glorious weather we had yesterday, today’s images are noticeably more Dol-y-Moch-esque! This, however, did not impact on the fun that was had by all. Morning Routines As well as our morning tasks, like setting up for breakfast, presenting the weather and getting ready for room inspections, some did get a little time for playing games.
Today, some of us started off our day by doing daily jobs.This included, setting the tables for breakfast, checking the weather for the day and making sure bedrooms were ready for inspection! Once done, we had breakfast and got briefed on what was planned for the day. After breakfast, and once we had cleared up and completed some more daily
Year 2 have been using a website called Code.org to help us understand how algorithms work. We have had fun completing lots of puzzles. Some puzzles require us to use loops in our programs to control the different on-screen characters.
Children have been investigating the online 3D tool, TinkerCad. Using this design tool, they have been using it to design their own Ancient Greece inspired places of worship.
Today, Year 5 worked on creating simple animations using Make Code and MicroBit. Using the Chromebooks, pupils created animations using loops, and the led array display. Once their programs had been created, they paired MicroBits to the laptops and downloaded their code to the devices.
