We enjoyed our Harvest Festival which was led by the Reverend Jon Taylor from St Bartholomew’s church. He spoke about the importance of being thankful for what we have and how it is kind to share. He also described how his church would be celebrating Harvest this year. As a school we collected enough food

This week we covered the sounds g, o, c, k and had a review day. In Maths we looked at numbers to 4 and shapes. In other areas we explored nursery rhymes with actions, we discussed past and present photographs from the local area, we listened to the story Mini Rabbit Not Lost (and others)
This week the children have learnt their first sounds in phonics, which are s, a, t, p, and they had a review day to recap on their learning. In Maths we introduced the children to Numberblocks and subitising, which they really enjoyed. They explored the story We’re going on a bear hunt with a story
The children have settled into life in Reception! This is a snippet of what we have been enjoying and learning in our new environment.
Reception made a great start to their PE journey this week working on showing different travelling styles and team work within the game of Treasure Island.
This half term the children are working on their personal skills and developing their footwork skills. We have been working on side stepping, skipping, hopping and galloping.
