This week, our Year 5 children enjoyed an exciting cycling session on the school field. The children worked together to create their own obstacle course to help practise important cycling skills in a fun and safe way.
The course included a tricky slalom section, a figure of eight challenge and a beanbag grab activity. These activities helped the children develop their balance, control and confidence while riding. They also practised one-handed riding, which is an important skill for signalling safely when cycling.
After completing the challenges, the children enjoyed a lap around the school field to put their new skills into practice. Everyone had a fantastic time and showed excellent behaviour throughout the session. The children listened carefully, encouraged one another and rode sensibly at all times.
We were very proud of the enthusiasm, teamwork and responsible attitudes shown by all of Year 5. Well done everyone!
