This term in “Celebrating Cultures” Skills Academy our Pupils danced their way through Latin Salsa, French Ballet, American Cheerleading, Irish Dance, Hip Hop, Hawaiian Hula, Banghra and Bollywood fusion! They also played a mix of games from Poland, India, China, Egypt, England, Russia. Children researched and designed flags. We even recreated a Polish flag with our white and red outfits!

We’ve been using tools to create tools in Forest School this half term! We demonstrated lots of care and precision when using the billhook, knives and peelers.
The children enjoyed creating quizzes using Blooket and Kahoot, and sharing them with their friends. We had some very enthusiastic quiz hosts! 8

At Art Skills Academy, our KS1 and KS2 pupils have been developing their drawing skills by exploring shading techniques using sketching pencils. This exciting unit focused on creating still life drawings while learning how to add shadows and depth to make artwork look more realistic. In today’s skills academy, we worked in teams to solve cryptic clues, in order to find treasure. We used morse code, solved riddles, and used a map of the classroom to find hidden clues. We then worked together to design our own treasure hunt/ escape room. – Miss Barrett.
Our new pool tables were a huge hit with the children. We have some very skilled players already. It was lovely to see children from across Key Stage 2 challenging one another.
