This week the children have learnt their first sounds in phonics, which are s, a, t, p, and they had a review day to recap on their learning. In Maths we introduced the children to Numberblocks and subitising, which they really enjoyed. They explored the story We’re going on a bear hunt with a story map. This was explored further in different areas around Reception and they looked at the story The Way I Feel by Janan Cain which supported the children to share their feelings about what they are good at and what they enjoy in Reception.
