This week Year 3 have been very busy!
We celebrated European Day of Languages on Tuesday and completed a number of French Challenges set by The British Council. We particularly enjoyed watching a cartoon (Bluey) in French and singing a song to learn the months of the year!
We have been using ‘The Stone Age Boy’ story to inspire our own stone-age adventure stories. Our History focus has been Stone Henge and we’ve continued our work on Skara Brae by thinking carefully about what we can learn about the past through discovered monuments and architecture.
In maths we have continued exploring place value. Mrs Scannell’s maths class particularly enjoyed problem solving when comparing numbers and estimating numbers on a number-line as shown in the images below. We also logged onto TTRockstars and played some multiplication games.
Finally we elected our new class representatives for school council!
