This week we continued to learn phase 3 sounds -ur, -ow, -oi and -ear and tricky words my, by and all. In maths we have been exploring ways to represent numbers using the die pattern. We also secured our knowledge of numbers that make 5 and used double dice frames to begin to explore 6 and 7. We had lots of fun exploring dinosaurs this week as part of our topic! We found out some new facts, named dinosaurs, anticipated the arrival of a new dinosaur that is due to hatch and drew a dinosaur to size! For our writing this week we decided to write a letter to Harry from the bucket full of dinosaurs to see if it was his missing egg! We worked used dinosaur shaped cutters in the playdough, made dinosaurs out of shapes, painted dinosaur feet to print with and used our imagination in the dinosaur themed small world.
