This morning, the children became zoologists and designed their own prehistoric park. With a partner, they thought carefully about fictional animals, creating hybrid creatures of modern day and extinct animals. They noted down the physical features of each creature, discussed movement, diet, communication and social structure. Using a dice, they generated more information about their creature. Then they drew out the park plan, organising animals based on their needs.
The children will use this information as part of a non-chronological report in the coming weeks.
