Year 3/4 Girls Football

The Year 3/4 girls’ football team took part in their first tournament of the school year at the AT7 Centre. The team showed great enthusiasm, determination, and teamwork throughout each match.

They faced a tough start against a very strong Sacred Heart side. Ernesford took an early lead through goalkeeper Zara, but Sacred Heart responded with four goals, finishing 4–1 winners. Despite the scoreline, the girls never gave up and showed real resilience.

In the second match against St Laurence, we conceded straight from kick-off, and chances proved hard to find, eventually losing 1–0. Our third game, against Corpus Christi, was extremely close, with both teams defending brilliantly, resulting in a well-earned 0–0 draw.

After a well-deserved break, the girls played a rematch against St Laurence. This time they bounced back superbly, securing an impressive 5–0 victory with goals from Soraiya, Ella, and a fantastic hat-trick from Zara.

Overall, it was a fantastic first tournament experience, and the team should be incredibly proud of their efforts and the way they represented the school. Well done, girls!
