We are very lucky at our school to have some amazing sports stars but these children have been chosen as the stand out sports stars in their year group. They have won a free tickets to The Wave as part of The Commonwealth Games celebrations. We hope they all have lots of fun.

What a wonderful way to spend our final sports day at primary school! We were very proud of all the children for their efforts but also for embracing the day. You can see the enjoyment on their faces! A massive thank you to Mr Hancock and Callum for organising their seventh sports day this year!
Some of our children went to Broad Heath Primary School to represent our school at a recent competition. We were really proud of the children and their high levels of determination and will power. A big thank you to two of our sports leaders who also went and lead one of the stations.
On Wednesday, our year 6 football team played a tough match against Pearl Hyde. They showed real team work and commitment and won the match 3-1. They are doing very well in the league, winning 2 games and drawing one, and continue to show a high level of enthusiasm for the game. Well done boys and Mr Hancock and Callum
Year 5 enjoyed their PE lesson outside this week perfecting the game of Throlf which is a version of golf which encorporates throwing.
This half term year 6 are practising their skills required for rounders.
We were very proud of the children who represented our school at the level 2 sports hall athletics this week. They did really well to come away with their third place medals. Our year 5 and 6 sports leaders have been putting their planning skills to the test this week. We visited Reception’s PE lesson to pick up some tips from Mr Burgess and then spent some time planning our own sessions for Y1 and Y2 in a couple of weeks.
