Skills academy making fairy doors

The year 1s and 2s enjoyed making doors for their fairy houses. We found trees to put them onto and created some imaginative stories.

Making water filters

The year 3’s had a go at making really muddy water look clean again. They created their own filter out of natural materials and poured the muddy water through. Some of them managed to make their water really clear! We discussed the importance of tree roots to protect from flooding and cleaning water.

We used a map to find different trig points hidden around the KS1 playground. All of the children found all 10 pictures with their partner and had lots of fun at the same time! We used the numicon to find number bonds. When we put 10 on one side and 3 and 7 on the other side they balanced. It was a fun way to show that they are equal to each other!
