This week the children had great fun when they went on their trip to Coombe Abbey Country Park. The rangers read the story, ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eric Carle. This week we started our new topic called Under The Sea. We have been finding where the sea and land are on maps and the globe and thinking about the types of animals that live in the sea. The children all enjoyed our rhyming story “Follow every loop and bend” and playing with the sea creatures in the tuff tray.
This week the children have been thinking about flowers and growing plants. They each planted a sunflower seed. We will look after them and watch them grow over the next few weeks! This week Nursery have started a new project called’ Sunshine and Sunflowers’. We thought about the weather getting warmer and discussed why it is important to stay safe in the sun like wearing a sun hat and putting on sun cream.
