A favourite event in the school calendar for Key Stage 1 to take part in is Gymnastics. We were invited to take part at The Tribe Centre, a fantastic venue for the children to compete at.
All the children worked really hard in their PE lessons and in the gymnastics club to be selected to represent Ernesford in the Level 2 games.
The children were taught a floor and vault routine and worked really hard to learn their routines at school and at home. The team were very excited to perform their routines in front of the judges. We were on the air track first where the children had a little freedom to show some of their skills on the track. After this it was the time to perform their routines. The vault routine first and all the children demonstrated great balance, jumping and landing skills.
Next, it was the floor routine. Lots of smiles as they started their rolls, back support, balance, jumping and landing. An amazing effort by all the children. We will wait to see where the Key Stage 1 team finish in the Coventry East competition.
