Last Friday, 31st January, some of our choir children set off for an unforgettable day at the BP Pulse Live arena. Our adventure began at 12pm when we tucked into our lunch, buzzing with anticipation for the coach journey ahead. We arrived at the venue with plenty of time to spare, settling into our seats towards the back left of the stage.
Next, was our mighty three-hour rehearsal session. It truly got our vocal cords warmed up and prepped us for the dance moves that accompanied our singing. After all that hard work, we enjoyed a packed dinner in our seats, eagerly scanning the crowd for familiar faces as parents and friends began to arrive. It was a fun little challenge trying to spot everyone, especially those who made it easier with brightly coloured clothing and lights – big thanks to them!
Then came our moment to shine. The children sang fantastically and gave it their all, making their school, parents/friends and themselves incredibly proud. After a long but exhilarating afternoon and evening, we returned to school, albeit with slightly sore voices. What a memorable experience it was!
