This week we thought about our school! We had a walk around school, met different adults and labelled parts of the school on a school map. In Phonics we covered the new sounds -i, -n, -m and d. In maths we explored how many different things can be counted like sounds and actions. We used a puppet and a counting wand made by the children in junk modelling to help them understand misconceptions when counting. In other areas we enjoyed reading, subitising, building, threading and being creative. Books read include: Welcome to Dinosaur school, How many jellybeans/What’s the Time Mr Wolf, The Gruffalo/The Snail and the Whale. We also had the pleasure of hearing Mr Taylor reading to us on Friday!
