One Kind Word

We started Anti-Bullying week with odd socks day. The children looked great – thank you for your support. The theme this year was “one kind word”. We talked about how important kind words were and then chose our favourites to make a colourful display.

Potions Day Fun! (Part 2)

After lunch we went outside onto the playground to make rockets using empty film canisters. It was really exciting waiting for them to explode! Then we put some mints into bottles of coke and watched them explode into fountains! We made small potions bottles and did some colouring.

Potions Day Fun!! (Part 1)

We started the day by choosing the house were going to be in. We touched the magical ball to make sure we were put in the right one! Then we went onto the playground and made a fizzing potion. After playtime we went back into the hall to make slime.

Science – viscosity

We took part in some activities to investige the viscosity of different liquids. We put a small amount of each liquid onto a board and watched to see which travelled quickly and which travelled slowly. The most viscous liquids travelled slowly. We went into the learning hub to look more closely at the liquids and thought of different adjectives to

Day 1 – Treasure Hunt

We finished our first day in Year 4 with a treasure hunt. We had to work out clues and then find the pictures that were hidden around the Parker Building, the playground and the field. All the pictures had a hidden letter on and the letters needed to be rearranged into the title of a book linked to our Potions

Transition Day

Before we left Year 3, we spent an afternoon in our new classes where we met our new teachers and had a look at our new classrooms. Then we went outside and buried some rubbish into plants pots. We made some predictions about what we thought would happen. We are going to empty one of the plant pots every half
