We have now completed our Round the World Imagination Trip! And what a wonderful trip it has been!!We returned to England by jumbo jet, landing at London’s Heathrow Airport. We spent three days exploring the capital city and then came home to Coventry. We met Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, who graciously answered our many questions on her ‘hot seat’ throne.

We travelled to Tanzania by rocket! We learned about the Maasai tribe and did some jumping. We saw Kilimanjaro and went on Safari to see some of the animals who live in the Savannah. We coloured in flags and beautiful African cloth designs! The mango juice we tasted was sweet and delicious!
We travelled to Australia by submarine, floating over the Great Barrier Reef! We coloured in flags, made kangaroos, and Itsy Bitsy books. Mrs Copeland told us about her visit to Australia and showed us some artefacts. We learned about the native Aborigines and designed our own dot art and listened to some Dreamtime stories and a didgeridoo! We tasted some
We travelled to India by magic carpet! We coloured in flags, Bengal tigers, and peacocks. We designed our own Mehndi and Rangoli patterns and we made patterns on cloth with tie dye! We tasted some delicious samosas, yummy! We learned how to do Bhangra dancing, it was great fun!
We travelled to France on the Eurostar and went up the Eiffel Tower with Barnaby Bear! We designed our own Eiffel Towers, printing with metallic paint. We have learned about French food and tasted brie! (Luckily not frogs legs or escargot!!!)
Over the last few weeks in our PE lessons, we have been having fun getting ready for sports Day!
We have started our ‘Round the World Trip’ by travelling to Wales! Mr Taylor came to teach us some Welsh. He taught us how to count to 10 and how to say the colour names. Miss Richards, whose family is from Wales, made some delicious traditional Welsh cakes for us to taste! Yummy!! We have also coloured in some Welsh
Reception had a exciting time counting traffic on Binley Road! We saw lots of different kinds of vehicles. This was a wonderful way to start our new topic “Are we there yet?”
We had a fantastic day learning about the Queen and her Platinum Jubilee! We played lots of games and ended the day with a party!
