This week has been busy! In Phonics we covered words ending with -s that sound like -s/-z, words ending with -es and longer words. In Maths we looked at patterns within numbers to 10 including making a whole number from two parts, splitting numbers into two groups and recognising how to spot a double and equal groups. We also looked at developing and copying simple patterns. We wrote Father’s Day cards, thought about keeping safe at the beach, looked at beach safety with flags and what the RNLI do to help us. We enjoyed learning about the artist Andy Goldsworthy and creating our own natural art as well as looking at flags from Brazil and France for our World Cup Day. The children ate croissants and took part in a big football match too! Our vegetables have grown and we have eaten some lettuce this week.
