It has been a busy week with visitors! We had the Fire Service in, where we asked lots of questions, tried on their uniforms and sprayed the hose and then we had the Police visit where we did the same things! New sounds (phonemes) this week include -g, -o, -c and -k and the tricky word is. In maths we explored how number scan be composed of 1s and the composition of 3 and 4. We also practised our letter formation, made collage fire trucks and police cars, did careful 1:1 counting and lots of fire service role play. We read We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, Smeds and Smoos/A Squash and a Squeeze and other topic related books such as Fireman Sam.
