We wore odd socks for anti bullying week. We spoke about what bullying means and the importance of being kind to our friends. We also designed our own posters!
We decided to draw a self portrait. We put an acetate over a photo of ourselves and traced all the different features we could see. We hope you like our work!
We had lots of fun riding scooters today. We tried hard to balance and even went over a ramp! It was lots of fun!
We had a special assembly led by the Reverend Jon Taylor from St Bartholomew’s church. We learnt all about harvest festival and how it’s important to say thank you for our food. Jon taught us some ‘harvest festival’ songs including the ‘harvest samba! Some of us brought in food to share with our local foodbank too.
We enjoyed visiting our new classes and meeting our Reception teachers!
We had fun at our sports day! Our grown ups came to watch. We took part in lots of different races including the obstacle race, quoit on the head, bean bag on the bat and a running race. At the end we had a medal ceremony and an iced lolly treat!

We spoke about how some food, such as chocolate and ice-cream, are fine to have as occasional treats and other food, such as fruit and vegetables, help keep our bodies fit and healthy!
We have been using a balance to weigh different objects to discover which is the heaviest and which is the lightest.
