Outdoor fun in the sun!

We have been enjoying the lovely sunny weather outside! The mud kitchen was a favourite choice. We made ‘petal pies’ and ‘mud soup’! They were very tasty!

Spring flowers

We enjoyed painting some Spring flowers, including daffodils and tulips. We looked at the different parts of the flower, including the stem, leaves and petals, to see what colour and shape they were. We worked hard! We hope you like our work!

World Book Day

We loved dressing up as different story characters for World Book Day. We had Spiderman, Elsa, the Gruffalo, Little Red Riding Hood, Peter Rabbit and even Marie Curie in Nursery! We enjoyed listening to different stories in our book corner and we listened to some poems too! It was lots of fun!

Signs of Spring

We went for a walk around school to try and discover any signs of Spring. We found blossom, daffodils, and buds on some of our trees. We listened very carefully on the key stage 2 playground and heard lots of birds singing. We also visited our school pond where you can often find frog spawn!

On our way we found some ‘bear poo’ and ‘claw marks’ on a tree! We had lots of fun and especially enjoyed the snowball fight during the snowstorm! Finally we

We’re going on a bear hunt

We really enjoyed listening to the story, We’re going on a bear hunt’ by Michael Rosen. We decided to retell the story by drawing everything that the family went through including long, wavy grass, thick, oozy mud and a swirling, whirling snowstorm. We worked really hard. Here is some of our work. We hope you like it!

Super Science

This week In Nursery we carried out an experiment. Three bears were stuck in some ice and we had to try and find a way to get them out. For the first bear, we decided to hit the ice with a toy pick axe. We wore a white coat, just like scientists do, and special safety goggles! The toy pick
