We had fun celebrating the Royal Jubilee. We learnt all about the queen and how she has reigned for 70 years. We went on a ‘jubilee hunt’ around Nursery to find different pictures, all related to the queen. We also enjoyed having our faces painted and a delicious ‘cream tea’.
We really enjoyed our trip to Ash End House Farm. When we arrived we went to see some ‘creepy critters’. There was an iguana, which we were able to stroke, lots of snakes and 2 giant tortoises! We had Reverend Jon Taylor from St Bartholomew’s church come and take some Easter assemblies today. He told us the Easter story and spoke about why Easter is a special celebration for Christians. He also taught us some new songs!
We enjoyed being chocolatiers for a day! We melted some solid chocolate in the microwave and discovered that it had turned into liquid chocolate. We then poured it into a chocolate mould and put the moulds in the fridge. After a little while, our chocolates became solid again! The best part was eating them. Yum!
