We enjoyed listening to the story, ‘I will not ever, never eat a tomato’ by Lauren Child. We spoke about what food we enjoy eating. We then sorted pictures of food into two groups, those that we like and those that we don’t like. We talked about how they tasted, for example, sweet, spicy, sour etc.

In Nursery this week we had a ‘special breakfast’! We spoke about what we normally have for breakfast each day and what we like to eat! We also discussed which foods are healthy and which are unhealthy. Our ‘special breakfast’ was very tasty! We toasted the bread and used a knife to spread butter, jam, chocolate spread or honey!
We discovered a lost dog, called Pip, in our outdoor area today! She was all on her own. We decided we would take care of Pip until we could find her owners. We fed her when she was hungry and took her for walks. We gave her lots of cuddles and even made somewhere cosy for her to rest. We
We decided to make pet rocks this week. First of all we chose a stone and washed all the mud off. We then painted it and added features including wobbly eyes, feathers and pom-poms. We thought of lots of different names for our pet rocks including Spotty, Rainbow, Monster, Rocky, Jack and Rosie. Some of the ‘food’ our pet rocks
We had lots of fun chasing bubbles outside! They were really big and some of them floated up high in the sky! It was a lot of fun!
We loved using our giant teapots for playing in the water. It was lots of fun!

Piper was very clever and could sit and give her paw. She could even ‘high five’ when she was asked. Piper was very soft to stroke.
Our new topic for this half term is called, ‘Can I have a dog?’ We will be learning all about pets and how to look after them. Our role play area is now a veterinary surgery. The children have enjoyed dressing up as a vet or a veterinary nurse and have worked hard to cure all the ‘poorly animals’ that
We were very excited to hear that the Easter Bunny had visited Nursery. He’d hidden lots of eggs in our outdoor classroom. We had to find as many as we could. We then exchanged one of the eggs we had found for a chocolate one. Yum!
We had fun making junk model dragons. We worked together in a group and spoke about what materials we would need. We also talked about what we could use for a head, body, wings, legs and a tail and how we could fix them together. We then decided on what colour to paint our dragon. We are very proud of
