Year 4 have started practising previously learned multiplication facts and learning new ones, in preparation for the Year 4 Multiplication Check which will take place in June. The aim is for all children in year 4 to be able to quickly recall all multiplication facts up to 12 x 12. We will be using different games, TTRockstars and Times table

This week Year 3 have been very busy! We celebrated European Day of Languages on Tuesday and completed a number of French Challenges set by The British Council. We have had a busy week in Year 3! Our writing has been based on Stone Age Boy by Satoshi Kitamura. In preparation for writing our own stories, we have participated in a Stone Age “experience day.” The children had great fun acting out scenes as a freeze frame looking at the pictures from the story – hunting animals, catching
Year 2 were learning about the Gruffalo over the first couple of weeks of term, so we decided to make some Gruffalo toadstool pizzas in Design and Technology. They went down a treat!
Year 2 are creating graphic scores to compose simple pieces of music using untuned percussion instruments. They had to consider which instruments should be playing at a time and how to organise these on the score template. They are looking forward to performing them!
The children in this group are certainly being put through their paces! They have been learning new strength and conditioning exercises within a Tabata timed themed session and also showing off their skills on the wall bars.
This week the children chose the basketball shooters and table tennis. The children choose a different sport or activity each week. Places are still available for this term if you would like to join us.
