What an amazing performance by the rock band today! They gave us a musical tour through the decades from the 1940s right up to the present day. I’m pretty sure that the staff enjoyed it even more than the children!
Year 2 have worked their socks off over the last few weeks completing their quizzes. We celebrated by having a fun afternoon on the field followed by an ice lolly! The children have been amazing and we are really happy with how they have done.
Over the past few weeks we have been enjoying ourselves learning and putting actions to many different songs. Particular favourites have been: The Jungle Rumble and the Sea Shanty Medley!
There were some very hungry children as they waited patiently for their turn at choosing cakes. Thank you for all the donations of cakes and for sending money into school for them to buy some delicious treats!
In maths this week, the children have been learning how to collect and represent information in tables, charts and diagrams. We gathered information about favourite ice cream flavours and displayed it in a tally chart.
Last week, we visited Somerset as part of our topic, Coastline. We managed to fit in a trip to Noah’s Ark Zoo and the beach at Weston-super-Mare. A great day but tiring day was had by us all!
2C have been learning how to saw and join lengths of wood to make a right angled join. They did this brilliantly and then strengthened it by adding a cardboard corner. We will be making the real thing in the next few weeks!
