We used the playground to simulate how particles interact with each other in solids, liquids and gases. We took on the role of pretending to be the particles!
We were fortunate enough to have a visit from a physics professor, Dr. Watson, who led an assembly for us on forces and magnets. It was great to see science brought to life through a series of fun activities proving scientific facts and theories about forces.
As part of our writing, we are creating a volcanologist’s report on a volcanic eruption. We had great fun pretending to be news reporters and witnesses.
In Year 5, we have been taking part in an initiative organised by the RSPB to survey and learn about our UK bird population. We had great fun identifying and recording visiting birds.
Some members from Year 4 went to the AT7 Centre, in Coventry, to take part in a speed-stacking tournament.
Children in Year 3 have been using Scratch to create stories. Using the remix function, they have taken an existing story animated with Scratch, and extended it.
