We had a visit from Simon, an actual polar explorer! He helped us understand what exploration truly is and the team work that this involves.
The children evaluated a range of texts and fed back to the whole class, the features they found and enjoyed most.
In honour of the Winter Olympics, we thought we would have a go at our own winter olympics inspired activities.
We used the playground to simulate how particles interact with each other in solids, liquids and gases. We took on the role of pretending to be the particles!
We were fortunate enough to have a visit from a physics professor, Dr. Watson, who led an assembly for us on forces and magnets. It was great to see science brought to life through a series of fun activities proving scientific facts and theories about forces.
