Good morning! Children are now beginning to show signs of settling! Not as many excited bunnies at 6:30am today! They are also getting used to morning routines. Good Morning! Children generally had a good sleep, even though some were clearly very excited till quite late and over-slept a little! Wake up calls were at 7am. Before breakfast, some groups of children carried out their morning tasks: checking the weather for the day’s activities and setting out the tables for breakfast. Day One – Arrival Time to get organised, sort our rooms and do some jobs. After a briefing from Anne, we were handed out some kit ready for the next few days.
Our children have been treated this week to some stimulating and relaxing activities.
We re-enacted the story of Whatever Next, by Jill Murphy. The children had great fun pretending to have picnics in space!
We had a visit from Simon, an actual polar explorer! He helped us understand what exploration truly is and the team work that this involves.
