There were some very hungry children as they waited patiently for their turn at choosing cakes. Thank you for all the donations of cakes and for sending money into school for them to buy some delicious treats!

In maths this week, the children have been learning how to collect and represent information in tables, charts and diagrams. We gathered information about favourite ice cream flavours and displayed it in a tally chart.
Creating Quizzes using Scratch In Year 5 we have been investigating using variables and selection. Using Scratch, we have been creating different types of quizzes. Some of our quizzes create questions dynamically and include a score and a timer.
The year 3’s had a go at making really muddy water look clean again. They created their own filter out of natural materials and poured the muddy water through. Some of them managed to make their water really clear! We discussed the importance of tree roots to protect from flooding and cleaning water.

The children enjoyed learning about St George’s Day at the beginning of the week. Craft club was very busy in skills academy last week. The children in key stage 1 had a fantastic time making their own rainbows! They were very proud of their work.
