Dodegball

Children from Year 5 went to the Alan Higgs centre to take part in a Dodgeball competition. Their honesty, which is one of the main values that runs through the Sainsburys Games competitions, was paramount as referees were not allowed. The children played really well and we were impressed with how they behaved throughout the tournament.

Wasps Netball Morning

The children visited the Richo Arena for the Wasps Netball Community Day. They were lucky enough to get to meet Jade Clarke who plays for England Netball team and helped the Roses win the Gold Medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. It was a great morning and the children thoroughly enjoyed the various activities on offer.

This week we have had many discussions about the North and South Pole. To ensure everyone had their chance to speak, we used the ball of string to pass around; only the person with the string could talk so we had to listen to each other carefully. As well as improving our communication skills we created some interesting string webs.

Arts Award (part A)

Since September, I have had loads of fun in Arts Award. Our first activity was to create a backdrop which we soon used in an animation. I was in a group of three with Maddison and Daisy. We created a jungle backdrop with 3D trees, bushes and even a 3D treehouse. We used the backdrop to create a great animation
